"I attended NSA conference in Atlanta Feb 2002. My goal was to find someone from the NSA Philly Chapter. I was moving to the area in a couple months and didn’t know ANYONE!!!!!

I sat right next to John Reddish at the first session. From the moment I met him, he was welcoming and couldn’t help me out enough. Over the years, he became one of my best friends. He helped advise me both personally and professionally in so many ways. In fact, whenever I was lost in some city, I would even call him --- 911 from some rental car. (Mapquest.reddish.com I would joke with him!) and he would somehow remotely direct me back in the right direction. He served on the board of directors for my Keep Shedding Educational Foundation for 5 years and helped send many African orphans to school.

John defines the phrase ---TRUE FRIEND!

I’ve never written a Dear John letter before. This one is so sad and so final.

You are already missed. Just this week, I was thinking that I needed to start my succession planning. Who would I talk to? You, of course!

So many things large and small that I would talk to you about. You were always wise and fair – and a bit irreverent – ever the consultant, ever the friend.

I think my biggest contribution to NSA was recruiting you! You were back stage driving the performance of so many people locally and nationally. In your own quiet way, you made your mark.

My morning prayers, which have included you for the past year, are shorter. My loss is large. Alan joins me in saying farewell."

"John Reddish and I were like Batman and Robin. In 1998, he took me under his wing and mentored me through assignments that were way over my head. Like a big brother he always had my back.
